Let the Little Children Come!

We were asked to teach a music appreciation class for some elementary and middle schoolers. Our grandson Hudson joined us. We had so much fun!

One little boy came up afterwards and said, “Could you come to my house and play music? And bring your grandson!”

Children are so precious to God. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.” Matthew 19:14

Sadly, some adults are trying to stop kids from experiencing God’s Kingdom.

In Wellington, Colorado, middle school kids were invited to an after-school “art club”, that was actually a Gender and Sexuality Awareness (GSA) group in disguise. The children were asked, “Who are you sexually attracted to?” If they answered, “no one” the presenter told them they were probably queer. They were then asked to keep the meeting a secret from their parents.

One child, who had no prior gender dysphoria started having suicidal thoughts. She eventually told her mother about the secret meeting she attended. The mom quickly pulled her out of school and began homeschooling her. Now, the two of them are traveling throughout Colorado warning families of the sexual grooming taking place through the public schools.

The enemy hates little children because he hates God. Seth Gruber said it best: “Satan would kill God if he could, but he knows he can’t, so he kills babies because he knows it wounds the heart of the Father.”

The Psalmist wrote:

“Thank You for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in Your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are Your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! Psalms‬ ‭139‬:‭14,16-18

Seriously? God’s thoughts about us outnumber every grain of sand on Earth? Science estimates there are roughly 500 million to 1.8 billion grains of sand in just a single cubic foot. That’s a lot of thoughts!

Yes, we are always on God’s mind, and His thoughts about us are infinite and precious! Meditate on that the next time you’re feeling unnoticed or insecure!

Father, thank You for loving us so much! Please guard the hearts and minds of our children. Protect their innocence and help them know You made them just how You wanted them to be. May they realize that You are constantly thinking precious thoughts about them!

And help me realize that too!

  1. Thank you, Walt, you are always an inspiration to me. I know that Jesus does for my sins and that I am going to have eternal life because of that. I pray for all of the people that don’t know that fact, it who doubt it. I pray that the parents of all the children that are exposed, by the devil, to the bad things in the world, will have the wisdom to do exactly what that mother did, and pull them from that danger.

    i love your posts!
