A Book in the Making

Several people have asked me to compile my HeartSpills blogposts into a book. One reader wrote:

“Walt, every time I read one of your HeartSpills articles I really wish you would write a book that contains them. People would be so blessed by them. Seriously, people need the Lord, and you’re bold, yet loving, and these articles are such a practical application of deep truths. My husband and I aren’t big readers, but these short articles are a fast read and easy to understand. I can’t help but think that we aren’t the only ones.”

I am honoring her request and have begun the process of self-publishing my book. Any suggestions from those of you who have published would be most welcome.

My sole desire is that this book would magnify Jesus, glorify the Father, and help people become best friends with the Holy Spirit.

I plan to dedicate the book to our seven grandchildren. One of my biggest encouragers has been our teenage grandson Boone. Responding to a blogpost he wrote:

“Papa, I’m really happy to see you still writing these. It means more than you probably realize. I love reading every word. I feel so grateful that I get to have you in my life. Watching God work through you is honestly one of the coolest things ever. It’s like… holy magic, but with your handwriting. Please never stop.”

How could I ever stop writing after reading that?

As long as the Lord keeps filling, I’ll keep spilling! His love is too good not to share!
