What a Wonderful World

Sometimes I wish I could go back in time to when our girls were little. The world seemed a better, kinder place back then.

The world today is so different. Kids are being forced to doubt their gender. No one in their right mind trusts the government or the media anymore. Corrupt leaders, due to greed, have put us on the brink of a possible nuclear war. This is the world under the control of the evil one.

As the world around us self destructs, our job as followers of Jesus is to show people a better, more wonderful world called the Kingdom of God, where He is in control, and where His children display His kindness, love, joy, and peace. When others see this fruit of the Spirit in us, many will hunger and thirst for it. That’s why Jesus called us the salt of the earth. Salt makes people thirsty. People today are thirsty for the fruit of the Spirit, and they don’t even know it.

Thankfully, all this delicious fruit is available in Jesus, by way of the Holy Spirit, put on display by those who out of gratitude, live to please the Spirit, not their flesh.

That’s right. We are God’s mobile fruit stand, walking in the midst of a world that is starving for love. Let’s go give people a free sample of the goodness of God! Let’s be appetizers that taste so good, once others taste it, they will be hooked, just as we are. What a wonderful world awaits those who discover the Kingdom of God.
