“What do you hope to take away from this group?” we asked a young man attending Men of Integrity for the first time. He replied, “I want to be more like Christ.”
In my post Family Matters I mentioned a group of men I meet with weekly. These guys are serious about being men of integrity who honor God. They have been such a blessing in my life.
We are family—spiritual brothers who don’t look related, but share one important thing in common. All of us were runaways who have repented and come home to Father.
Saved by Jesus, we hunger to learn how to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. We play together, laugh together, and at times weep together when one of us is suffering. This is what God meant the church to be. We are our brother’s keeper.

My dear friend Felisto has been married just a few months. His humility and desire to be a Christlike husband blesses everyone in our group. He truly is a man of integrity!
One can attend “church” every Sunday but never experience the beauty of having close friends who will love us like Christ loves us. It’s not easy finding friends you feel safe enough to confess your sins to, knowing they will faithfully pray for you and be there when you need help.
I hope you have good friends like this. Life is too short and too hard to go it alone!
“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is there for times of trouble.” Proverbs 17:17
“Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2
“As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.” Proverbs 27:17
Wonderful group of brothers with a common heart for Jesus and hunger for the Spirit-filled life! Keep going deeper in and higher up!
