Some friends and I went downtown to listen and show love to the homeless.
I’m an introvert by nature, but years ago God told me not to worship Him according to my temperament, but according to His word. And His word says . . .
“God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. So never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord.” 2 Timothy 1:7-8
Paul was reminding Timothy, “You have been given the Holy Spirit. You are no longer a mere mortal. There is a powerful, loving person living inside you!”
You can read every book on evangelism and it won’t make you a bold witness for Christ. The power to share Christ fearlessly comes from being filled with the Spirit. “They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly” Acts 4:31.
When Peter and John were commanded to stop telling others about Jesus they replied, “We cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard.” Acts 4:20
When we are walking in the power of the Holy Spirit, listening to His voice and obeying His promptings, we can’t stop talking to others about Jesus. His perfect love flows out of us and casts out fear.
So whether you are an extrovert or an introvert like me. You have a gift. God has given believers a spirit of love and power to boldly proclaim Christ. Just be who you are!
“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be My witnesses” Acts 1:8.
“God will give you the right words at the right time. For it is not you who will be speaking—it will be the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.” Matthew 10:19,20
Father, I surrender my will to You. Fill me today with the Holy Spirit. Speak through me words of love that will minister to others.
Great words of truth, Walt! Thank you for sharing.

Walt, as always, thank you for a thought provoking word! I’ve known you a long time and while you may be an introvert your words always impact deeply. Thank you for blessing us. I wasn’t aware of the Rainbow Revival. That’s awesome to hear!

Thank you Karen for your kind words! It means a lot! I found the Rainbow Revival on their FB page. Used to be called Ex-LGBTQ for Christ but they just changed their name. Taking the rainbow back! Give Danny a big hug from me!

Great exhortation. You will be inspired by the story of Heidi Mund – a little German lady who is taking on a whole Godless culture in Germany.
